BIOGRAPHY

Born on February 26, 1959 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Steve's family returned home to Sand Mountain in Dekalb County Alabama when he was eight years old. After graduating from Crossville High School in 1977 he attended Snead Community College for two years. On May 9, 1980 Steve married Renae McClendon.

In 1983, after a short mission term in Haiti, Steve became the Youth Pastor at New Commandment Fellowship Church in Alexandria, Alabama. In 1986 he became a founding member of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Anniston, Alabama where he served as the worship leader for nine years and was also an elder. Steve earned a certified Bachelor of Christian Ministry degree in 2008 from Pillar of Truth Ministries and is an ordained pastor.

The Pruitts have five children and one grand child and now live in Oxford, Alabama USA where they administrate a Christian home school program.

Steve and his son Matthew are co-founders of JustWorship.com; a web site totally dedicated to worship. Steve has written three books and a devotional on worship which have been downloaded for free in 162 countries and territories. He has also written several worship songs which have been used by churches in the United States, Norway, New Zealand and Azerbaijan.
